The 13th edition of the International Short Film Festival Leuven takes place from November 29th- December 6th.
Every year, the festival presents between 250 and 300 short films from around the world. More than 120 screenings of 30 different compilations are organised in Arts Centre STUK, in 5 venues.
If selected, your film has a chance to win the audience award and the jury award. Director from all selected films will be inivited to the festival.

The festival organises a big Flemish and a European short film competition and a series of non-competitive programmes, such as the Comedy Shors, the Focus on Swedish Shorts, Animation Nations a.o.

SELECTED SHORTS DVD'S
Selected Shorts is the short film DVD label founded by the International Short Film Festival Leuven. It releases a number of national and international short film compilations every year.
Recently a brandnew title was released: Selected Shorts #5: Comedy Shorts with films like Harvie Krumpet, Meine Eltern, Home Game, and many others.
The Selected Shorts releases can be bought in the Selected Shorts-webshop, that sells also a fine selection of other Belgian and foreign short film compilations.
The International Short Film Festival Leuven was founded in 1995 and is for many years the leading short film event in Belgium.
The ISFFL annually presents a wide selection of high quality short films, short live-action as well as short animated films, short documentaries, short experimental films and music videos.

The ISFFL had a series of side activities. The release of short film compilations on dvd is one of them (see "Selected Shorts DVD's"). Besides that the festival is also active in Belgium as a short film distributor, organiser of screenings for schools, programme-advisor or programmer for several arts centers, cultural centres, film festivals in Belgium and abroad and content deliverer for internet- and digital tv channels.
The short film database contains information on all the films that were screened at the festival in the last 10 years, plus all the films that were submitted but -for various reasons- not selected for competition. The short film database contains information on more than 6.000 short films from Belgium and abroad.
Fonk Vzw, the organisation behind the ISFFL, has a series of other film-related projects. Fonk Vzw also runs a small arthouse movie theater (Cinema ZED), organises the open air filmfestival "Terrasfilms" ánd the international documentary festival DOCVILLE.
