Non-profit organisation Fonk is not only the organisation behind the International Short Film Festival Leuven but also runs an arthouse cinema, Cinema ZED and organizes the International Documentary Film Festival DOCVILLE in May.

FESTIVAL 2010 - 16th EDITION: CALL FOR ENTRIES
The ISFFL 2010 takes place from December 4 - 11, 2010. The festival takes place at arts center STUK, Leuven. Again the festival organizes a Flemish and European short film competition. In the European Competition 2 prizes will be awarded: the Jury Award for Best Short Film (2.500 euro) and the Audience Award for Best Short Film (1.500 euro).

Evey year Selected Shorts, the short film dvd label of the ISFFL, releases several short film compilation. In May 2010, the 10th Selected Shorts-edition was released: the Best Flemish Shorts of 2009, a selection of the very best recent Flemish short films. The tracklist contains Siemiany (in competition @ Clermont-Ferrand 2010), Venus vs. Me (winner @ Berlinale 2010), A Gentle Creature (winner Jury Award @ ISFFL '09) and many more.
Selected Shorts is not only the name of our dvd label, it's also the name of an online web shop, specialised in short film compilations. You will find all our Selected Shorts editions, as well as an impressive list of Belgian and international compilations. You will find compilation dvds of Belgian film schools KASK and Sint-Lukas, as well a internationally acclaimed labels like Onedotzero, Cinema16 and Best v. Best.
KIDS & SCHOOLS
The ISFFL has a lot of side activities; the festival organises screenings for kids and schools, holds close contact with teachers and developed two educational dossiers for the animated poems DVD DichtVorm and for the 35mm compilation De Poetsprins (The Pipsqueak Prince). .
DISTRIBUTION
The ISFFL occasionally sets up distribution projects for cinema, television, V.O.D. and internet.
FLEMISH SHORT FILM DATABASE
The festivals runs a website called "The Flemish Short Film Database". This immense database contains detailed information of over 1.200 Flemish short films.
